Translation Agency in Poland: Official Document Legalization (Online)
Poland has become a second home for millions of foreigners. Regardless of where you have settled—in dynamic Warsaw, historic Krakow, the port city of Gdansk, or a small town in Subcarpathia—you face a unified state bureaucratic system. Polish laws are clear, and document requirements are strict.
Legalizing your stay (Otrzymanie karty pobytu), obtaining a PESEL number, exchanging a driver's license, or enrolling in a university require professional translation into Polish. However, a standard translation does not work here. State authorities (Urzędy) only accept documents certified by a sworn translator (Tłumacz przysięgły). "Admiral" Translation Agency operates throughout Poland. We provide services remotely, ensuring you receive official documents with wet seals, wherever you are.
Which Documents We Translate in Poland
We have formed service packages that cover all life situations for foreigners in Poland: from refugees with UKR status to entrepreneurs and students.
1. For Legalization (Urząd Wojewódzki / Karta Pobytu)
This is the most important stage. To obtain a Temporary Residence Card (pobyt czasowy), Permanent Residence (pobyt stały), or an EU Resident Card, you need to submit a full package of documents to the inspector:
-
Sworn translation of the birth certificate.
-
Sworn translation of the marriage or divorce certificate.
-
Sworn translation of the police clearance certificate (for some types of residence).
-
Translation of bank statements (proof of stable income).
2. For Drivers (Wydział Komunikacji)
Foreign driver's licenses are valid in Poland for a certain period, but for permanent residence or work as a driver, they often need to be exchanged for Polish ones (Wymiana prawa jazdy).
-
We perform sworn translation of foreign driver's licenses.
-
Translation of the driver qualification card (for truck drivers).
-
Translation of car purchase agreements (Umowa kupna-sprzedaży) for vehicle registration.
3. For Studies (Rekrutacja na studia)
Polish universities (UJ, UW, AGH, etc.) require applicants to provide nostrified or translated educational documents.
-
Translation of school certificates and transcripts with grades.
-
Translation of Bachelor's/Master's diplomas.
-
We adhere to NAWA (Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange) requirements.
4. For Business and Work (Praca i Biznes)
-
Translation of documents for opening a company (Sp. z o.o.) or sole proprietorship (JDG).
-
Translation of statutes, KRS extracts, contracts, and powers of attorney.
-
Translation of employment record books to confirm seniority in ZUS (for pension or sick leave).
5. Medicine and Family (ZUS / USC)
-
Translation of vaccination cards for schools and kindergartens.
-
Translation of sick leave certificates (L4) for ZUS.
-
Documents for marriage registration in the Polish Registry Office (Urząd Stanu Cywilnego).
"Tłumacz Przysięgły": Why Is It Important?
In Poland, there is a clear distinction between translations.
Standard Translation (Zwykłe tłumaczenie): Suitable for websites, resumes, correspondence. It can be performed by any qualified philologist.
Sworn Translation (Tłumacz przysięgły): This is a translation performed by a person who has passed a state exam, is entered in the register of the Ministry of Justice of Poland, and holds a special round seal. For all state authorities (Voivodeship Office, Registry Office, Court, Police, University), exclusively sworn translation is required. No other option will be accepted. We cooperate with a wide network of sworn translators and guarantee that your documents will have legal force.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Does the Urząd Wojewódzki accept translations from a scan? Yes. A sworn translator has the right to make a translation from a scan/copy of a document. In the translation, they make a note that the translation was made "z kopii" (from a copy) or "ze skanu". For the Residence Card or license exchange procedure, this is sufficient in 95% of cases.
Do I need to translate my internal passport? Usually, only those pages with entries in a language other than Polish/Latin (e.g., Cyrillic registration, marriage, children) are translated if needed to confirm data. Translating the entire passport is not always necessary — check with your inspector.
Do you provide "PESEL UKR" translation? The document assigning the PESEL number is already Polish. But if you need to translate foreign documents to obtain it (in disputed situations) — we will help.
Is your translation suitable for getting a loan in a Polish bank? Yes, we perform sworn translations of income certificates, which are accepted by Polish banks (PKO BP, Santander, Pekao) for reviewing mortgage applications.
