Translation agency in Zhovkva: Polish in both directions

The Admiral office in Zhovkva takes orders for document translation for work, study or residence in Poland. We also translate the other way, when a Polish document has to be submitted to a Ukrainian institution. Polish is one of the agency's most frequent languages, so these orders are routine for us.

The office is at 1 Lesi Ukrainky Street, 3rd floor, room 3, next to the gas service office and the Favoryt building materials centre. You can come in with your originals or simply send photos, and the manager will name the price, the deadline and the certification you need before any payment.

What to translate for work, study or life in Poland

The Polish side decides which documents you need: the employer, the university or the office handling your case. We translate any document on that list. For work you may need a passport, a diploma, an employment certificate, a driving licence or a criminal record certificate.

For study, it is a school certificate or a diploma together with the transcript of grades. For residence, people may be asked for birth and marriage certificates, bank or tax statements, and sometimes medical reports and hospital discharge summaries. There is more about this on our personal documents translation page.

Sworn translation for Polish institutions

Some Polish institutions only accept a translation by a Polish sworn translator, known there as a tłumacz przysięgły. We arrange this kind of sworn translation. Timeframes differ from country to country, so for Poland your manager will give you the deadline in advance.

Many institutions are happy with the agency stamp on the translation, while others need notarisation. With a notarised translation, the translator puts their signature on it and a notary confirms it is genuine. Consulates, courts and public authorities, both in Ukraine and abroad, often ask for exactly this. The institution where you submit the documents will know exactly which option you need. If there is no one to ask, write to your manager with the country and what the translation is for, and they will suggest where to start.

Apostille on a Ukrainian document for Poland

If a Polish institution asks for an apostille, the ministry responsible for your document issues it:

  • Ministry of Justice: civil registry certificates and statements, court decisions, notarial documents;
  • Ministry of Education and Science: school certificates and diplomas;
  • Ministry of Internal Affairs: criminal record certificates;
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs: all other documents.

You will not need to take anything to the ministry yourself; we do that. Allow extra time for the ministry's work; approximate timeframes are on the Apostille page.

Polish documents for Ukrainian institutions

A Polish document intended for a Ukrainian institution is translated into Ukrainian, and quite often a notary also certifies the translator's signature. It might be a child's birth certificate, a marriage certificate, a diploma or a bank statement issued in Poland. If a Polish diploma has to be recognised in Ukraine, we can help with nostrification too.

Whether a foreign document needs an apostille depends on the country that issued it. Ukraine and some countries have signed treaties on legal assistance, under which no apostille is needed. Before work starts, your manager will say what applies to your Polish document.

Cost and timing

You pay from UAH 250 for the translation of a standard document. The final amount depends on the language, the volume and the certification, so the manager calculates it from the photo. You get the price and the deadline before paying, and the Pricing page gives a rough estimate.

A passport, certificate or diploma usually takes around one working day. Urgent jobs can be done within hours, or within 1–2 working days for a larger volume, and the language matters too. Sworn translation and ministry certification have their own timeframes, and your manager will give you those in advance as well.

How to order from home

You do not have to come to the Zhovkva office to order a translation. A phone photo is enough, taken in natural light with the flash off. The whole page should be in the frame, with stamps and signatures, and if there are stamps on the back, we need a photo of the back too. Send the pictures by email, info@admiral.com.ua, or through whichever messenger you prefer: Telegram, Viber or WhatsApp. Let us know the country and the institution you are preparing it for.

Messenger replies come every day, 9:00–21:00, and phone calls are answered on weekdays, 9:00–18:00. Payment is made by link with a card issued by any bank, or via PayPal or a bank transfer. The electronic translation comes as a file. The copy with stamps is shipped by Nova Poshta, abroad as well, so you can receive it even after you move. Should the original be needed for certification, the manager will agree with you on how to hand it over.

Who is responsible for accuracy

An editor checks the finished translation against the original, going through every figure, date, name and stamp. When the text must read naturally in Polish, a native speaker joins the work. Names are spelt as in your international passport, so it is worth adding a photo of it straight away.

The manager handling your order answers your questions, keeps an eye on the deadlines and tells you as soon as the translation is done. The agency has worked since 2008, translates in over 50 languages and is certified to ISO 17100:2015 and ISO 9001:2015. Admiral gives every translation a lifetime guarantee: we will always meet you halfway, whatever the situation.
